If you're after a good all-round oil for your dog's coat, skin and general condition, this is the one we'd point you to. It's a blend of five natural oils rather than the usual single fish oil, so it's doing more in one bottle than most oils manage.
Linseed, hemp, black cumin, evening primrose and salmon oil go into it, and between them they give a proper omega-3 and omega-6 balance, 54.3% and 13.36%. Most oils only cover the omega-3 half. The omega-6 helps keep the cell membrane stable and supports the skin and coat, while the omega-3 supports cell metabolism and the immune system by helping the body form its own defence cells.
It's part of our raw feeding range, but it isn't just for raw feeders. It mixes just as easily into dry or wet food, so however you feed, it's simple to add. Rich oils like this are easily digestible and give a bit of energy too, and this one's made from gently processed, natural ingredients rather than anything refined.
Dosing is simple: half a teaspoon per 10kg of dog daily, about 2ml, stirred into food. Give the bottle a shake before you use it. A little settling at the bottom is normal for an oil made this way, not a fault. It's a mark of the natural product rather than something processed out of it.
Unopened, it keeps for up to 12 months somewhere cool, dry and out of the light. Once it's open, use it within three months.
Why We Love It
- Five natural oils in one bottle: linseed, hemp, black cumin, evening primrose and salmon
- 54.3% omega-3 and 13.36% omega-6, a proper balance rather than omega-3 on its own
- Omega-6 helps keep the cell membrane stable and supports skin and coat condition
- Omega-3 supports cell metabolism and the immune system
- Works just as well mixed into dry or wet food as it does with raw
- Hemp and black cumin oil are organically farmed
- Simple daily dosing straight into food, half a teaspoon per 10kg
How much to give, and how long a bottle lasts
Half a teaspoon per 10kg of bodyweight daily, about 2ml. Shake well before use and mix it straight into food.
| Your dog | Daily amount | 500ml lasts |
|---|---|---|
| 10kg | 2ml | About 8 months |
| 20kg | 4ml | About 4 months |
| 30kg | 6ml | About 12 weeks |
| 40kg | 8ml | About 9 weeks |
Based on ½ teaspoon (2ml) per 10kg. Once opened, use within 3 months, so even a big dog getting through the bottle quickly has no trouble finishing it in time.
A note on the oil: shake before use, and don't worry about a little sediment at the bottom of the bottle. It's a quality characteristic of the natural product, not anything wrong with it.

We stock both, and they're answering different questions.
