We are Rated

barkinBISTRO Berry Boost is a freeze-dried goat milk powder for dogs, blended with real blueberry, cranberry, banana, strawberry and mango rather than a fish oil capsule or a vitamin blend. Mix it with water and it turns into a thick, pourable liquid you add straight to the bowl.

Goat milk makes up 73% of it, and on its own it naturally carries probiotics, enzymes, vitamins, minerals and healthy fats. The rest is real fruit: blueberry and cranberry for their antioxidants, banana for a natural source of fibre, strawberry and mango for their own vitamins, plus a touch of MCT powder. Every percentage is printed on the pack rather than left as a vague ingredients list.

It's also one of the few blends in this shelf to publish a full analysis: 18.25% protein and 23.5% fat, with 2% crude fibre and 3.65% crude ash. That fat figure is on the richer side for a daily topper, which tracks with what it's for, a good coat needs some fat in the diet to draw on, and it's exactly the sort of number worth knowing rather than guessing at.

Mix it into a meal, whether that's raw, dry or cooked, use it as a hydrating drink on its own, or add it to a lick mat or a stuffed toy for a bit of enrichment. It suits puppies just as easily as an adult or older dog, and it's a good option if your dog's tummy tends to be on the sensitive side.

Because it's freeze-dried, there's no freezer to find room for. It sits in the cupboard as a dry powder until you're ready to use it, and only needs the fridge once it's mixed with water, for up to 7 to 10 days. One bottle makes a litre once mixed, and how far that goes depends on your dog's weight, from around 16 daily servings for a dog under 10kg to around 3 for a dog over 40kg.

Not sure if it's the right daily boost for your dog? Just ask, we're always happy to help. Delivered across the UK, and on the shelf in our Dunfermline shop.
