It's firm enough to stand up to proper daily chewing, with just enough give to be comfortable on the teeth. Over time it wears down into tiny flakes, and the ridged ends help clean teeth and massage gums as they go.
Medium has the most choice, too. Classic and Beef come in every size, and Small and Large also come in Venison. Every flavour is a vegetarian scent infusion with no animal by-products, which helps if your dog's dinner is already avoiding something.
Once you've seen how your dog gets on, it's easy to adjust. Big chunks coming off means it's time for BetterBone Hard. A dog who barely makes a mark might be happier with BetterBone Soft.

Rinse in warm water and leave to air dry. Swap it for a new one once it's about half worn down, or small enough to swallow whole.
