AniForte Dental Snack is a soft, tasty treat that looks after your dog's teeth without the chewing. It's made mostly from beef tripe, with seaweed, apple, parsley and peppermint doing the work on plaque, tartar and breath that's seen better days.

It's grain-free, so it suits a dog who reacts to grain too, and there's nothing artificial in the pot: no added sugar, flavourings, colourings, preservatives or synthetic vitamins.

Puppies can have them from the start, and they're just as easy on an older dog whose teeth aren't what they were. Soft enough to break by hand, they won't crumble in a pocket, and they work as well for a reward as they do for training.

One snack per 5kg of your dog's bodyweight a day, with fresh water on hand as always.

Not sure whether the snack or the powder suits your dog better? Ask us and we'll help you pick. Delivered across the UK, and on the shelf in our Dunfermline shop.

Why We Love It

  • Works through the recipe rather than through a long chew, so it suits a dog who isn't much of a gnawer
  • Beef tripe is the only meat in it, and it's the main ingredient by some distance
  • Seaweed meal, apple pomace, parsley and peppermint blended in for the plaque and the breath
  • Grain-free, a good option if your dog reacts to grain
  • No added sugar, artificial flavourings, colourings or preservatives, and no synthetic vitamins
  • Soft baked, breaks by hand, and it won't crumble in your pocket
  • Around 200 snacks in the 300g pot, and a 50g if you want to try them first
  • Suits puppies and older dogs alike

AniForte Dental Snack FAQs

Yes. This isn't the sort of dental treat that needs chewing time to earn its keep, it works through what's in it, beef tripe, seaweed meal, apple pomace, parsley and peppermint, rather than through how long your dog spends on it. Give it daily and let the recipe do the work.

Depends how your dog would rather take it. The powder is sprinkled onto their usual food, so there's nothing extra to give and no new routine to build. The snack is a treat in its own right, handed over on a walk or used as a training reward, built on a similar seaweed-based recipe. Dogs who'll eat anything in the bowl tend to do fine on the powder. Dogs who like a bit of ceremony do better with the snack.
One per 5kg of bodyweight, daily. So a 5kg terrier has one, a 20kg spaniel has four, a 40kg shepherd has eight. There are around 200 snacks in a 300g pot, which is about six months for that terrier and a little over three weeks for the shepherd. The 50g holds roughly 33, enough to see how your dog takes to them.
Yes to both. They're baked soft rather than hard, so they're gentle on a puppy's mouth and on an older dog whose teeth aren't what they used to be, and they break by hand if you want to make them smaller still. AniForte list them as suitable for all breeds and ages.
No, it's a daily supplement in treat form, not a stand-in for either. AniForte's own line is that it supports the brushing and professional cleaning you're already doing, not that it replaces them, so keep doing both alongside it.
